Jabez Dance Club
Jabez is a name drawn from the Bible in the book of 1 Chronicles 4:9-10 where his name meant pain. The club is meant to enable these children see the pain they have come from because of their backgrounds as no tan hindrance to their future success but an opportunity to step forward. Jabez Dance Club plays a vital role in promoting physical health, mental well-being, cultural expression, and community spirit through its activities and events. It serves as a hub for dancers to connect, learn, perform, and contribute positively to their community.
Jabez Dance Club is planned to be done in Primary Schools for the children aged 9 – 12 years. The children will be given training notebook, dance attire, and snacks during training. They will be trained for 10 weeks in a term. In each school, a cohort of 50 children will be selected and divided into 5 groups of 10. They will compete in their school and the best group will be awarded an extra dance attire, a trophy, certificates, and will have an opportunity to represent their school in an external competition with other schools. The children will be supported by a school mentor.
To mentor one child in this training, it will cost USD 75.
